#UmpquaPreps: All-Southwest Conference soccer awards
Roseburg girls soccer coach Janelle Newton was voted the 2025 Southwest Conference co-Coach of the Year after leading the Indians to a 6-3-6 record and a berth in the Class 6A state playoffs, the school announced on Monday.
This is Newton’s first time winning the award in her second season as head coach at Roseburg.
The Roseburg girls earned six all-conference honors this season. Junior Molly Smith was named to the SWC first team, while Maddy Snyder, Kyleigh Miller and Maddie Newton were second team selections. Alexa Bachmeier and Grace McAfee earned honorable mention recognition.
Junior Aaron Familio led the Roseburg boys with second team all-conference recognition. Ian Landeros and Cole Chytka earned honorable mention honors.
