Riverhawks volleyball falls to No. 6 Clackamas
OREGON CITY — It wasn’t in the cards for the Umpqua Riverhawks volleyball team on Wednesday. Umpqua (4-14, 2-7 South Region) challenged the No. 6 Clackamas Cougars in a South Region match, but the Cougars still managed to sweep the ‘Hawks.
Set scores were 25-20, 25-13, 25-20.
Kennedy Baylis Hines led UCC with 15 kills and added 14 digs. Gracelyn Jensen led the team with 21 digs and Julianna Wandler had 22 assists.
Clackamas (13-5, 7-2) was led by Jasmine Broberg, who had 17 kills. Olivia Woody and Taylor Thompson led the defense with 15 and 14 digs, respectively.
Umpqua will visit Eugene to take on the Lane Titans at 6 p.m. Friday.
