UCC soccer nets blowout 5-1 win over Redwoods

EUREKA, Calif. — The Umpqua Riverhawks women’s soccer team is off to a strong start to the 2025 season.

UCC blew out College of the Redwoods in a 5-1 nonconference victory on Tuesday in Eureka, California. The Riverhawks improved to 2-1 on the season and have now equaled the total number of wins from the program’s inaugural season last year.

Tierney Clarno, Katrina Beltran and Ginne Saavedra all found the back of the net for UCC.

Up next, Umpqua begins league play with its first home game of the season. The Riverhawks host Clackamas at 1 p.m. Saturday at Sutherlin High School.
