WESTFIELD, Ind. — A pair of Douglas County female wrestlers competed for Team Oregon at the 2025 Women’s National Duals last week at the Grand Park Events Center. Team Oregon was one of 26 states represented and sent three teams to compete in different age groups.

Recent Douglas High School graduate Sialafua Polamalu wrestled in the junior division and finished the two-day freestyle competition with an unblemished 6-0 record to earn a spot on the all-tournament team. Polamalu, who is headed to Ashland to wrestle for Southern Oregon University next school year, helped Team Oregon place second in the Purple/Grey bracket.

Zoey Young, an incoming freshman at Douglas High School, wrestled for the Oregon 14U team, which took 8th in the Bronze/Copper bracket. She went 4-4 during the two-day competition.
