UCC men’s wrestling qualifies three for nationals

Umpqua’s Nicholas Garza (125), John Paul Lavarias (133) and AJ Wedge (285) all earned fourth place finishes at the NJCAA Region 18 men’s wrestling tournament over the weekend in Coeur d`Alene, Idaho, clinching a berth in the national championship tournament next month.

The championship will be held March 7-8 at the Mid-America Center in Council Bluff, Iowa.

Prior to nationals, the UCC Riverhawks will square off with Linfield on Thursday in McMinnville.
