Roseburg wrestling suffers 47-30 loss at Grants Pass

GRANTS PASS — The Roseburg High School wrestling team lost a Southwest Conference dual 47-30 at Heater-Newman Gymnasium on Monday.

The Indians got five wins by pin, but it didn’t prove to be enough against the Cavemen, who won nine matches total and six by pin.

Drew Dawson (113), Roman Leaton (132), Isak Hutchins (144), Daniel Patrick (175) and George Gibby (285) all earned wins for Roseburg.

The Roseburg JV team defeated the Cavemen 41-35.

Up next, the Roseburg wrestling team will prepare for the Southwest Conference district meet being hosted by North Medford on Saturday at Oakdale Middle School in Medford.
