The Roseburg softball team found the win column for the first time this season with a 3-1 win over Sunset in Beaverton on Wednesday. The Indians cleaned-up their defense and committed no errors after having four against McNary in their season opener on Monday.
Roseburg (1-1) piled up six hits against the Apollos. Senior Jordan Gibson had a big day at the plate going 2-for-3 with two doubles, one walk, two runs and a RBI.
Madysn Blevins struck out nine and walked one in seven innings of work to pick up her first win of the season for Roseburg.
The Roseburg girls will next play Friday at defending state champion Tualatin.
