GLIDE – The Glide track and field teams finished second in a five-team home meet on Wednesday. The Wildcats finished seven points behind boys champion Pleasant Hill and 33 points behind girls champ Coquille.

Glide junior Dillon Towne set a new personal best in the discus with a throw of 174-04.5. His mark is the best in all of the 3A classification this season by nearly 30 feet. Towne also won the shot put with a toss of 48-02.

Juniors Isaiah Jordan and Joe DeBell also sent new PRs in the meet for the Wildcats. Jordan ran the 400 meters in 56.87 to win and DeBell won the 800 meters in 2:46.47.

On the girl’s side, junior Kaylee Hendron won the discus competition with a PR throw of 128-00.5.

Canyonville Christian Acadamy’s Lily Allen won the girl’s 400 meters with a time of 1:04.43. She also placed second in the 100 and 200 meter races.
