SAN FRANCISCO – The Oregon State baseball team swept the Pac-12 Conference’s weekly honors for the first time since 2017 when Trevor Larnach was named the Player of the Week and Luke Heimlich its Pitcher of the Week on Monday.

The duo helped the Beavers to a 2-0 record in a shortened series at Missouri State. The Beavers outscored the Bears, 27-8, to push to 26-6 on the year.

Larnach hit a pair of home runs in the first game Friday, both coming with a runner on base. The junior finished the weekend with four hits and five runs batted in – collecting three hits in game one and one hit and one RBI in game two. He’s now third in the Pac-12 with 10 home runs and leads the league with 42 RBI. He is seventh nationally with 1.31 RBI per game.

Heimlich, meanwhile, tossed six innings in the opener Friday, and struck out 10 batters while allowing seven hits and three runs. He won his eighth game of the season and is one of four players tied for the national lead. He now has 28 career wins, tying him with Mike Gorman (1979-82), John Sipple (1984-86), Jeff Post (1989-92) and Dallas Buck (2004-06) for third-most at Oregon State.

Heimlich has a Pac-12 best 67 strikeouts on the year, and now stands at 293 for his career, which is six shy of tying Jonah Nickerson (2004-06) for most in Oregon State history.

Both Larnach and Heimlich have been honored for the second time this season. Larnach has been recognized twice in his career, and is one of 13 players in school history with at least two. Heimlich has been honored six times, tying with Scott Christman for second-most at Oregon State.

The Beavers last swept the Pac-12’s weekly awards on March 28, 2016 when KJ Harrison was named the Player of the Week and Bryce Fehmel the Pitcher of the Week.
