ROSEBURG – Roseburg track and field hosted South Eugene for a Southwest Conference dual meet on Wednesday. The RHS boys dominated the event winning the team scores 100-35. The Roseburg girls were evenly matched with the Axe, but fell 74-71.

The Roseburg boys won 15 of 17 events against the Axe. Multiple athletes set new personal record marks while winning against South Eugene. D’Angelo Adams won the 200 meters race with a PR time of 23.57. Elijah Hansen PR’d in the 400 meters race with a time of 52.55. Julian Woods won the 110 meters hurdles in record fashion and junior Nicholas Bolin set a new PR in the high jump while taking first.

As for the Roseburg girls, they won eight of 17 events in the narrow team loss. Two RHS athletes set new personal records while claiming victory. Junior Gretchen Lucido won the javelin with a PR toss and Erin Mendelson took first in the pole vault with a PR jump.
