PEARL, MS – The minor league baseball season got underway on Thursday and Roseburg native Josh Graham made an immediate impact in game one for the Double-A Mississippi Braves of the Southern League.
Graham pitched a scoreless ninth inning and picked up the save in a 3-0 win for the Braves. He surrendered a walk and a hit to start the inning, but pitched out of trouble with two strikeouts and a ground out. It was the 10th save of Graham’s minor league career.
The Mississippi Braves face the Tennessee Smokies for game two of their opening series Friday.
