MEDFORD – The Roseburg wrestling team has put itself in solid position to repeat as Southwest Conference district champions after the first day of competition in Medford.
The Indians have advanced 23 wrestlers to the semifinals of the championship bracket and lead the team standings by 70.5 points over second place North Medford. Roseburg has tallied 202.0 points.
Wrestlers that have advanced to the semifinals are; Cameron Cross (106), Kaden Schlatter (113), Kahleb Diaz (120), Hunter Sparks (120), Thomas Spence (126), Shaun Konig (126), Tristin David (132), Caleb Jeffers (132), Archer Bergeron (138), Devin Folk (138), Colin Rietmann (145), Darian Thacker (145), Austin David (152), Bryson Diaz (152), Ethan Stoner (160), Logan Folsom (160), Rourke Martin (170), Garrett Russell (170), Brandon Jeffers (182), Doran Gillespie (182), Terrell Jacks (195), Owen Vredenburg (195), and Hunter Blix (220).
