The Umpqua Community College Board of Education approved the addition of three new sports teams on Wednesday and athletic director Craig Jackson was a guest on Off The Wall to discuss more about the expansion. Jackson goes into detail why the athletic department chose to pursue baseball and track & field teams over other options and what the timeline will be for getting the programs up and running. He also talks about how a more robust athletic department has been beneficial to UCC.
