ROSEBURG – The Roseburg girls basketball team got back in the win column with a dominating victory over the Thurston Colts Wednesday night at Stewart W. Robertson Memorial Gymnasium.

The Indians allowed only two points in the first quarter to the Colts and rolled to a 49-29 victory. Roseburg’s offense cooled a bit after the first quarter, but the large lead was never threatened.

Amaya Goins started hot for Roseburg, scoring seven points in the first four minutes of the opening period, but she went down with an apparent knee injury and did not return to the game. Jalen Robles scored 18 points to lead the Indians in victory and Samie Bergmann added nine points for the Tribe.

Up next for the Roseburg girls is a trip to Corvallis coming up at 7 p.m. on Friday.
