PORTLAND – Two former Roseburg football players earned All-Conference honors in the NCAA Division III Northwest Conference this week.

Tyler Kailiuli

Offensive lineman Tyler Kailiuli from Pacific University and wide receiver Brad Lander from George Fox University both earned All-Conference honors during their senior seasons. Kailiuli was selected first team offense after helping the Boxers average nearly 200 rushing yards per game. He played in every game during his senior season for Pacific. The Boxers finished the season 4-4 overall and tied for fourth in the NWC standings.

Lander earned second team honors after leading the Bruins with 35 catches for 540 yards and seven touchdowns. The senior was critical in two upset wins for George Fox. Lander was the leading receiver in a 13-10 win over #21 Redlands and he had 163 yards and two touchdowns in the Bruins’ 43-23 win over #22 Whitworth. During Lander’s senior year the Bruins cracked the top 25 rankings for the first time in school history.

A handful of other players from the region also played their final snap of college football in the Northwest Conference this season. From George Fox, Jake Heverly (Roseburg) and Matt Thompson (Camas Valley) both finished their senior seasons. Ryan Carhart (Roseburg), a junior punter from Pacific, will also step away from football after finishing second in the conference in average punt yards. Chris Schoffner (Roseburg) was also a senior safety on the Boxers’ roster.
