PHOENIX – Damian Lillard and Pat Connaughton each made four three-pointers and the Portland Trail Blazers dominated the Phoenix Suns 124-76 in the season opening game for both teams Wednesday night.
The Blazers handed Phoenix its most one-sided loss in franchise history with the 48-point victory. Lillard finished with a game-high 27 points and Connaughton added a career-best 24 points off the bench. The Blazers had six players in double figures.
Up next, the Blazers will visit the Indiana Pacers on Friday night.
