ROSEBURG – The Roseburg boys soccer team is clinging to fourth place in the Southwest Conference standings, but it holds the slimmest of leads over fifth place Willamette as the season enters the final week.
The Indians have a slightly easier schedule with two games left to play. Roseburg faces third place North Medford tonight, before wrapping up the schedule against last place Sheldon. Willamette has three games left and will play two of the top three teams in the conference before ending the regular season against sixth place South Medford.
Roseburg will need to put the pressure on by winning games down the stretch. The Indians visit North Medford tonight at 4 p.m.
The Douglas boys are also in the midst of a race for the post season. With two games left to play, the Trojans are right on the bubble. Today they face Marshfield, which is also in the thick of the playoff chase. Douglas and Marshfield play at 5 p.m. in Winston.
