ROSEBURG – The Roseburg volleyball team clinched a postseason berth with a 3-1 win over South Eugene Thursday night. The Indians can finish no worse than third in the Southwest Conference standings and might even have a shot at second place if North Medford falters in its final two games.

Roseburg has one conference game left to play. The Indians will visit Willamette next Tuesday to wrap-up the regular season. The state playoffs will begin October 25.

The South Umpqua volleyball team swept Siuslaw on Thursday to finish as co-champions of the Far West League. It’s the first volleyball league championship for the Lady Lancers, who finished tied with Marshfield with 8-2 records in league games. The two teams will play a league playoff on Tuesday in Coquille to determine which side will be the top-seed out of the Far West and earn an automatic berth in the state playoffs.

The North Douglas volleyball team capped off an undefeated league season with a 3-0 sweep against Umpqua Valley Christian Thursday night. The Lady Warriors will be the top team heading into the league playoff to determine seeding for the state playoffs.
