NORTH PLAINS, ORE. – The Umpqua Riverhawks obstacle course racing team represented well at the Warrior Dash in North Plains, Oregon over the weekend. Three members of the team placed in the top 10 of the competitive division and qualified for the Age Group Competition of the OCR World Championships.

Sophomore William Turner finished fifth in the men’s competition and teammate Boone Pearson followed closely behind in sixth. In the women’s competition, Umpqua coach Andrea Bowden took seventh.

The Warrior Dash is a 3.3 mile course with 12 world-class obstacles. Hundreds of racers competed in the event.

Next up for the RiverHawks is the Physical Training Championships, held on Oct. 28th, at Chemeketa Community College.
