ROSEBURG – The Roseburg boys soccer team dealt the Ashland Grizzlies their first loss of the year on Tuesday thanks to a pair of goals by sophomore Jayden Bangs. The Indians got on the board with Bangs’ first goal in the 31st minute. He added his second in the 45th minute and Patrick Giraudo gave Roseburg a 3-0 lead in the second half.
Ashland countered with a pair of goals within a matter of minutes, but a late score by Jacob Wilson gave the Indians a 4-2 nonleague victory.
Roseburg is now 3-4 overall this year and the Indians will get back to league play on Saturday with a trip to Sheldon.
