PORTLAND – Long time Roseburg football coach Thurman Bell will be inducted into the Oregon Sports Hall of Fame Tuesday night in Portland.
Bell was selected as on of six inductees for 2017 earlier this year. He led the Roseburg Indians for 45 years and led the team to four state championships, while amassing the second-most wins in state history (332). Coach Bell retired from coaching at RHS after the 2015 season.
He will be inducted into the Hall of Fame along with three other individuals and two teams. The ceremony begins Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. at the Multnomah Athletic Club in Portland.
