ROSEBURG – The start of Southwest Conference play begins Tuesday night for the Roseburg volleyball team. The Indians will host the Sheldon Irish at the Roseburg High gym starting at 6:45 p.m.

Roseburg is the defending conference champion and will look to start out its bid for a repeat title with a victory over the Irish. So far this season, the RHS volleyball team has lost just one set while winning two matches against 5A opponents Thurston and Ashland.

There’s more league games coming up Tuesday at the lower levels. Riddle visits Crow in the 2A Mountain View Conference.

The 1A Skyline League continues its league schedule with a full slate of games. Days Creek travels to Yoncalla, Umpqua Valley Christian is at Elkton, North Douglas visits New Hope Christian, and Glendale hosts Powers.

There are also a number of non-conference games on the volleyball schedule as well. Find the full schedule below.

Soccer is also on the schedule for Tuesday, but plans could be altered due to the smoky conditions outdoors. The Roseburg soccer teams are planning to begin conference play as well. The Indians take on Sheldon. The boys will host the Irish at Finlay Field, while the girls visit Eugene to square off against the Irish. The boys start play at 6 p.m. while the girls get underway at 6:15 p.m.
