ROSEBURG – The Umpqua Opener high school and middle school cross country meet has been postponed due to concern over poor air quality.
The meet was scheduled to be held Wednesday in Roseburg. There were 14 teams – 10 high school and 4 middle school – registered for the race. Local high school teams included Douglas, Glide, Oakland, Roseburg, South Umpqua, and Sutherlin. Jo Lane, Coffenberry, Fremont, and Glide middle schools were also planning to run in the event.
The race has been moved to September 20th.
