CORVALLIS – When the Oregon State football team heads to Colorado later this week to begin the season, the Beavers will have a lengthy streak they’ll try to break. OSU has lost its last 13 games on the road, dating back to October 4, 2014.

The last road win for Oregon State came against the Colorado Buffalo, so maybe it’s a positive sign that the Beavers will be back in the Centennial State. Only this time, OSU will be about an hour north facing Colorado State in Fort Collins.

Despite being an FCS team from the Mountain West Conference, Colorado State will be no slouch for an Oregon State team looking to take the next step in Gary Andersen’s third season. The Rams have made a bowl game the past four seasons and return many of their skill position players from an offense that averaged over 35 points per game.

The Beavers will also face what is expected to be an extremely unruly fan base, which has sold out its brand new on-campus stadium and will look to christen it with a win.

Oregon State visits Colorado State on Saturday morning. Tune in Wednesday night for a full preview of the OSU football team on Beaver Sports Talk, starting at 6 p.m. on CBS Sports Radio 1490 The Score.
