ROSEBURG – The Roseburg Pepsi Bottlecaps retook sole possession of first place in the single-A Area 4 North standings with a sweep of Cascade Christian at home Wednesday night. Pepsi took game one 17-2 and finished the day with an 11-4 victory.

The Bottlecaps allowed just eight hits total to Cascade Christian. Doran Gillespie threw a complete game five-hitter in game one and Jett Black and Mason Littlefield combined to throw a three-hitter in game two.

The wins move Pepsi ahead of the Umpqua Lions for first place in the league standings. The Bottlecaps are now 8-2 in league play and the Lions are a game behind at 6-2.
