PENDLETON – The Roseburg Renegades Junior State Baseball team bounced back after only its second loss of the year by winning a slugfest in Pendleton on Monday. The Renegades toppled the Buckaroos 22-13 in a nonleague contest.
Roseburg fell behind 13-2 after three innings, but the Renegades bats came alive in the top of the fourth. They scored 11 times in the fourth and added five in the fifth and another four in the sixth inning. The Renegades held Pendleton scoreless from the fourth inning on.
It was the second most runs scored by the Renegades in a single game this season and it’s the fourth time the team has scored 20 or more runs.
Up next, the Renegades continue their trip east with a game against the Rocky Mountain Avalanche in Idaho on Tuesday. The game starts at 7 p.m. Following that, the Renegades continue on to Boise, Idaho for a tournament starting later this week.
