ROSEBURG – The summer sports camp season is about to get underway. The Roseburg Doc Stewart’s will host the Doc’s Baseball Camp next week starting Monday, June 19. The two-day instructional camp is geared for players 5 to 15 years old.

Campers will get to learn the game from the coaches for the Doc Stewart’s and other Legion teams, as well as Legion baseball players.

The camp runs Monday and Tuesday next week (6/19-20) from 9 a.m. to noon both days. Cost of attendance is $50 for two days or $25 for one. Players that attend both days will receive a Doc’s hat. Registration for the camp will take place at 8 a.m. Players should bring casual athletic clothes, a mitt, and a bat. Cleats are optional.

Roseburg High School is also hosting a youth basketball camp for 3rd through 8th graders next week. The camp runs Monday through Thursday (6/19-6/22) from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Youth from Roseburg and surrounding communities are welcome to attend.

Campers will learn from Roseburg coaches Mike Pardon, Jim Early, Scott Finlay and Justin O’Byrne. Various middle school coaches will be there as well.

The cost of the camp is $60. Players can get registered at the Roseburg High School gym on Monday before 9 a.m. More details can be found on the Roseburg High School website.
