ROSEBURG – The American Legion baseball season ramps up a notch Tuesday as the Roseburg Doc Stewart’s play their first Area 4 league games. The Doc’s hit the road for the first time this year with a trip south to Klamath Falls.

Roseburg will visit Kiger Stadium to square off against the Klamath Falls Falcons in a league doubleheader. Both teams are looking to straighten out their seasons after starting the year 0-2.

Tuesday’s games kickoff a stretch of six games in three days for the Doc’s. The team had to move Saturday’s scheduled doubleheader against Medford to Wednesday. The games will be played at Legion Field in Roseburg. The opener will be at 6 p.m. The games will be covered on 1490 The Score and online at 541radio.com. The Umpqua Lions single-A legion team will begin its season with a single contest against the Roseburg Renegades Jr. State Baseball team on Tuesday. The Renegades are 4-0 on the season and coming off of back-to-back no-hitters on Sunday.

The two sides will face off at Sutherlin High School at 6 p.m.
