SUTHERLIN – The Roseburg Renegades Junior State Baseball team threw two no-hitters on Sunday and swept a doubleheader against Pleasant Hill.

The Renegades won 21-0 in game one behind a five-inning shutout from Tanner Marlin. The Billies did not get a hit and Marlin struck out 13 batters in the victory. Doran Gillespie was one of many bright spots for the Renegades at the plate, going 4-for-4 with four RBI. Roseburg had 17 hits in the game. Caden Smith and Garrett Zeimet each also had multiple hits.

Roseburg took game two 24-0 in five innings. Troy Jones and Wyatt Bitterman combined for the no-hitter. Jones also went 3-for-5 with a home run and seven RBI.

The Renegades (4-0) will face the Umpqua Lions single-A Legion team in a single seven-inning game on Tuesday at Sutherlin High School. First pitch is slated for 6 p.m.
