BEAVERTON, ORE. – Finalists for most of the prep sports awards at the 65th annual Oregon Sports Awards were announced Wednesday and Roseburg High School senior Layne Van Anrooy is one of three finalists in two categories.

Van Anrooy is up for the Prep Wrestler of the Year and the Johnny Carpenter Prep Athlete of the Year awards. The Michigan-bound wrestler went undefeated on the mats his senior season and won his fourth individual state championship. Van Anrooy and teammate Haydn Maley became the first four-time individual champions at Roseburg High School this year.

The Oregon Sports Awards honor the top athletes from the high school to professional level in the state of Oregon. The ceremony will be held June 18 at the Tiger Woods Center on the Nike World Headquarters campus in Beaverton.
