ALBANY – The season came to an end for the Roseburg softball team on Monday, as the Indians managed just two hits against West Albany in a 7-0 loss in the first round of the state playoffs.

The Tribe gave up the lead on a Mahayla Gamble two-run homer in the second inning and it was all downhill from there. The Bulldogs added a run in the third and four in the fifth. West Albany finished with nine hits off of Roseburg pitcher Madysn Blevins.

Alexa Ligon and Katie Ladd had Roseburg’s two hits. The Indians struck out seven times against Gamble.

Roseburg finished the season with a 15-11 record.
