EUGENE – The Roseburg softball team moved into sole possession of second place in the Southwest Conference with a 12-1 win over Willamette on Tuesday.
The Indians took a 10-0 lead after three innings and put the game away early with two runs in the sixth for a 10-run rule victory. Roseburg collected 11 hits in the game, led by Katie Ladd and Brittany Glasser with three each. The pair also combined for four RBI.
The Indians over-took South Medford for second in the standings. The Panthers lost 16-0 against conference champion North Medford and fell one-game behind Roseburg in the standings.
Up next, the Indians finish the season with a visit to North Medford on Friday for a doubleheader. Game one starts at 2:30 p.m.
