Sutherlin’s Taylor Stricklin, the reigning 4A state Player of the Year, was voted to another All-State team following a standout senior season. Stricklin was chosen as a second team member of the American Family Insurance All-USA Oregon Girls Basketball Team as announced by USA Today High School Sports on Thursday.
The 10-member All-State roster consists of players from the top three classifications in Oregon. Stricklin is one of just two members from a 4A school.
Stricklin averaged over 21 points per game while leading the Lady Bulldogs to a fourth straight state championship. She was also an All-Tournament selection and the Sky-Em League Player of the Year.
Stricklin plans to attend Umpqua Community College next year to continue her education and basketball career.
