ROSEBURG – The Roseburg tennis teams took care of business in Southwest Conference duals against Grants Pass on Tuesday.

The Roseburg girls defended their home court by shutting out the Lady Cavers. Top singles player Adrienne Powell remained undefeated in conference matches by defeating Grants Pass’ Elizabeth Williams, 6-1; 6-1.

The Indians lost only one set during the match. Freshman Veronica Campbell lost her second set, but rallied to win match 6-2; 0-6; 6-0.

Up next for the Roseburg girls is another home conference dual against North Medford on Tuesday.

The Roseburg boys improved to 4-1 on the season with a 6-2 win at Grants Pass on Tuesday.

Senior Lucas Ball, Roseburg’s top singles player, battled through a 90 minute match against Grant Pass’ Kaleb Murphy. Ball outlasted Murphy 7-6; 6-3.

Up next, the Roseburg boys host a tournament on Saturday at the Umpqua Valley Tennis Center.
