GRANTS PASS – The Roseburg golf teams competed in a Southwest Conference Tournament Monday at the Grants Pass Golf Club. The girls finished fourth and the boy’s team placed sixth.
The girl’s team was led by junior Avry Hansen, who shot a round of 91. She finished four strokes out of the top five in the individual scoring. The Indians shot a team total of 434, which was two strokes better than fifth place North Medford. Grants Pass won the tournament with a team score of 365.
Roseburg senior Cole Dittemore finished tied for third to lead the Indians in the boy’s tournament. Dittemore shot a 78 and finished tied with Willamette’s Ben Davis and Grants Pass’ Jackson Bartow.
There wasn’t much distance between third place and sixth place in the team standings. Roseburg finished with a score of 347 and was only four strokes behind third place South Medford. Grants Pass won the boy’s tournament with a team score of 337.
