BAKER CITY, ORE. – The No. 2 Days Creek boys basketball team was outscored 21-10 in the third quarter and the Wolves were upset by No. 7 Powder Valley, 74-60 in the 1A state quarterfinals Wednesday night.

Days Creek led by three at halftime, but a 5-0 run midway through the third quarter put Powder Valley on top for good. The Badgers led by eight going to the fourth quarter and the lead grew to double digits before the final horn. The 14-point margin at the end of the game was the largest lead of the night for Powder Valley.

Powder Valley had four players finish in double figures, led by Brogan Tibbets with 16 points. Tanner Eubanks and Isaac Colton added 15 points each.

Days Creek guard Colton Fuller scored a game-high 24 points to lead the Wolves. Kameron Stever added 15.
