MYRTLE CREEK – Coming up Friday night as the South Umpqua Lancers take the court for league games against Siuslaw, they’ll also be playing to support cancer research.
The South Umpqua basketball teams are hosting “Lancers vs Cancers” night as they welcome in the Vikings. SU players will be adorned in pink socks, while coaches will wear “suits and sneakers” on the sidelines. Fans are asked to wear pink to show their support as well.
Donations will be accepted at the door and be forwarded to the American Cancer Society. Games get started at 3 p.m. at South Umpqua High School in Myrtle Creek.
