ROSEBURG – The Roseburg girls led through much of the first half, but they went cold in the second half – scoring just five points – and the Grants Pass girls cruised to a 43-27 win.

Roseburg scored 14 points in the first quarter for a 14-5 lead, but the Indians scored only 13 points over the next three quarters as Grants Pass’ defense clamped down. The Lady Cavers took the lead for good in the third quarter and held Roseburg scoreless in the final period.

Taylor Russell scored 12 points to lead the Indians and Jalen Robles added seven.

Alyssa Etheridge scored 14 points to pace Grants Pass and Ahdra Kingler contributed 10.

The Roseburg girls will go to Eugene for their next conference game to face the Sheldon Irish on Friday.
