WINCHESTER – The Umpqua men’s basketball team had four players finish in double figures on its way to a 87-72 victory over Clackamas on Saturday.

Jacob Danhoff scored 23 points to lead the Riverhawks in victory. The sophomore big-man also pulled down a team-high 11 rebounds.

The Riverhawks opened the game with a 40-28 lead in the first half. They made 18-of-34 shots for an astounding 52.9 shooting percentage. UCC continued to stay hot in the second half and finished the game shooting 51.5 percent from the floor.

Grant Ellison added 19 points for Umpqua and Timmy Thompson and Daniel Reno also reached double digits with 14 and 10 points respectively.

Clackamas’ Nygil Carr scored a game-high 26 points to lead the Cougars.

The UCC men have now won four straight games. Up next, the Riverhawks visit Chemeketa on Wednesday. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
