HILLSBORO, OR – The Roseburg wrestling team had five individual champions and compiled 270 points to dominate the 22-team field at the Reser’s Tournament of Champions on Saturday.

The Indians finished 100 points in front of second place Dallas thanks to individual titles for Hunter Sparks (113), Bennett Mesa (132), Layne Van Anrooy (160), Austin Harris (182), and Haydn Maley (220).

Roseburg finished the tournament with 11 of its 14 wrestlers place in the top six of their weight class.

The Roseburg JV team also won a tournament title, claiming four individual titles. The JV squad won 10 of its final 11 matches. Junior Terrell Jacks claimed the JV Gregorian Award for the most falls in the least time.

Up next, the Tribe will host Sheldon in a Southwest Conference dual Thursday night.
