WINCHESTER – The Umpqua men’s basketball team had five players finish in double figures and the Riverhawks managed to hold off the Titans for an 81-72 victory.

UCC led by just five at halftime and dealt with plenty of defensive challenges posed by the Titans, but they won to improve to 3-1 in conference play. The Riverhawks are now tied for the most wins in the South Region.

Grant Ellison led UCC with 21 points. He made three of the five Umpqua 3-pointers and added four steals.

Jouvon Edison recorded a double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds for the Riverhawks. Jacob Danhoff scored 16 points for UCC and Daniel Reno and Ethan Betts each added 10.

Lane was led by Jacob Bigler, who scored a game-high 22 points.

The Umpqua men will next host Clackamas on Saturday.
