ROSEBURG – Roseburg native Jordan Stotler was named the Under Armour Northwest Athletic Conference Player of the Week on Tuesday for a second time this season, as the Umpqua Community College freshman continues to help lead the No. 1 ranked Umpqua women’s basketball team.
Stotler led Umpqua to a 2-1 record at the Red Devil Holiday Classic last week and was named to the all-tournament team. The Riverhawks made the championship game, but finished 2nd in the tournament.
In three games, Stotler turned in an average of 21.3 points, 15 rebounds, and 4.3 assists per game. She also finished the tournament with four steals and seven blocked shots.
The Umpqua women and men were scheduled to begin league play Wednesday night against Southwestern Oregon Community College, but the winter storm has cancelled those plans. The two teams will attempt to make-up the games on Thursday night in the Umpqua Community College gym.
If they do play, the women take the floor at 5:30 and the men play at 7:30 p.m.
