LONGVIEW, WA. – Roseburg native Jordan Stotler was two assists shy of a triple-double and the freshman’s big game helped lead the No. 1 Umpqua women’s basketball team to a 94-57 win over Centralia College in the first round of the Red Devil Holiday Classic at Lower Columbia College.
Stotler finished with a game-high 26 points, 18 rebounds, and eight assists. She added three steals and one block to her stat line.
Umpqua jumped out to a 24-6 lead at the end of the first quarter. The Riverhawks continued their dominance throughout the game. UCC won the rebound battle 57-27, committed nine less turnovers, and had three more steals.
The Lady Riverhawks face Yakima Valley in the semifinals today at 4 p.m.
The Umpqua men defeated College of the Siskiyous 75-55 in the opening round of the College of the Siskiyous tournament. The Riverhawks play today against Shasta at 3 p.m.
