MEDFORD – After a short break for Christmas, it’s back to action for high school basketball teams in holiday tournaments.
The Roseburg boys basketball team starts play in the Abby’s Holiday Classic in Medford today. The 8-team tournament includes both North and South Medford, as well as Reynolds, Forest Grove, McKay, Oregon City, and Ashland. Games will be played at North and South Medford High Schools.
The Indians are coming off of three straight losses at the Rebel Basketball Classic at South Albany High School. Despite a lopsided loss to start the classic, Roseburg played close in two other games, losing by a combined 9 points.
The Tribe will hope to fare better in Medford. Roseburg squares off against Forest Grove to start the tournament. Tipoff from South Medford High School is set for 6 p.m.
