FLORENCE, ORE. – The Sutherlin boys improved their record to 7-2 for the season with a 50-34 win over Siuslaw Tuesday night in Florence.

Senior Marshal Warmouth led Sutherlin with 19 points, including 10 in the fourth quarter and a pair of 3-pointers. Freshman Mason Greer chipped in 18 for the Bulldogs.

Sutherlin came back from a 6-0 deficit in the first quarter to tie the score 6-6 after one period. Then the defense clamped down on the Vikings and allowed only four points in the second quarter for a 15-10 lead at halftime.

The Bulldogs made 18 of 29 free-throws in the second half to pull away for the victory.

The two teams combined for 61 free-throws in the game.

The Bulldogs are idle until next Wednesday when they meet Marshfield in the first round of the three-day Evergreen Tournament at Hidden Valley High School.
