RENO, NV – The Roseburg wrestling team had five varsity wrestlers place in the top four at the Reno Tournament of Champions on Saturday for a third place finish, the best finish in school history according to head coach Steve Lander.

The Tribe was led by senior Layne Van Anrooy who won an individual championship at 160 pounds. Van Anrooy won his first three matches by fall and each match was won in under 60 seconds.

Roseburg compiled 175.5 points, 26.5 points behind the team champion Pomona. Also placing in the top four was Bennett Mesa, who placed 2nd at 138 pounds, Haydn Maley, who finished 3rd at 220 pounds, and Austin Harris and Hunter Sparks, who each took fourth.
