EUGENE – Roseburg junior Amaya Goins scored 14 points and the Indians outlasted North Eugene 53-52 in a non-conference game on Monday night.

The Roseburg girls led at the end of every quarter, but their largest lead was only six. The Indians led 43-37 going to the fourth quarter. The Highlanders rallied back to outscore Roseburg 15-10 in the final period, but it wasn’t enough.

The win was Roseburg’s second consecutive. Jalen Robles added 13 points for the Indians. North Eugene’s Claire Baboyan led all scorers with 15 points on five 3-pointers.

Up next for Roseburg (3-3) is a non-conference trip to Aloha on Thursday. The game tips off at 7:15 p.m.
