TRIANGLE LAKE, ORE. – The Days Creek basketball teams were on the road at Triangle Lake for a nonconference match-up on Monday.

The Lady Wolves had their best defensive effort of the season in a 35-29 victory over the Lakers. Sophomore Keziah Perez led Days Creek with nine points. Two players came up big on the glass for the Wolves, pulling down double digit rebounds. Freshman Moriah Michaels had 11 rebounds and seven steals. Senior Micah Kruzic had 10 rebounds. The Lady Wolves improved to 2-3 on the year.

The Days Creek boys followed with their best offensive night of the young season, notching a 62-46 win over Triangle Lake. Senior Colton Fuller scored a game-high 18 points to lead the Wolves and Cole King added 16. Fuller also had seven assists and six rebounds.

It was the third straight win for the Wolves, who improved to 4-1 on the year.

Up next for Days Creek is the Holiday Hoops Classic at Hosanna Christian starting on Friday.

Coming up on Tuesday there is a rather full slate of games for local teams around the Umpqua Basin.

The Roseburg girls basketball team will try to right the ship and snap a 3-game losing streak when they host Eagle Point for a nonconference game at Roseburg High School. The Indians haven’t been able to get on the right side of a team since their season opener against West Albany. Roseburg may catch a break as the Eagles haven’t won a game all season.
