REEDSPORT – The Elkton boys and girls basketball teams pulled off a sweep against the Reedsport Braves on Monday night.

The Lady Elks started the night with a 43-32 win over the Braves. Hannah Maxwell had 10 of her game-high 17 points in the first half to give Elkton a 20-10 lead at the break.

The Elkton boys found themselves in a tight contest against Reedsport despite leading by 7 at halftime. The Braves rallied in the second half to take a 2-point lead with 57 seconds remaining in the contest. Elkton tied the game at 54 and Brad Doudna that hit a pair of free throws with 3 seconds left to clinch the victory for the Elks.

Both Elkton teams improved to 3-0 with the wins.

The Riddle basketball teams also pulled off a sweep Monday night. The Irish boys downed Milo Adventist Academy 81-38 and the girls won 55-1.
