wbb-ua-week-1-nov29ROSEBURG – The college basketball season has started off nicely for Umpqua Community College freshman Jordan Stotler. The Roseburg High School graduate helped lead the Lady Riverhawks to a first place finish at the Clackamas Thanksgiving Invitational and in turn earned the Under Armour NWAC Women’s Basketball Player of the Week award.

Stotler averaged 22.7 points, 15.0 rebounds, 4.7 assists, 2.7 steals, and 4.0 blocked shots in three games during the tournament. The 6-foot-4 forward came up big in the tournament championship. She scored 29 points, had 19 rebounds, and blocked seven shots. Her performance earned her the tournament MVP honors.

This is the first conference Player of the Week honors for Stotler and the first of the season for Umpqua. The Lady Riverhawks will take part in the Bulldog Classic at Bellevue College. The tournament begins on Friday.
